changeXchange - trading for the common good

Kia Ora,

2018 is shaping up to be a great year for those of us in the community development and social enterprise space. More and more organisations are turning to investigate if they could use a social enterprise approach to help with funding and deliver more to their community.

Which is why I’m pleased to announce that over the past 12 months, we have been working in the background to establish a website to help promote your organisation: https://www.changexchange.co.nz

Myself and a team of people embarked on changeXchange to highlight and promote social enterprises. Social enterprises are businesses that trade to achieve a social, environmental, cultural or local economic development purpose and reinvest most of their profit into the community or other community causes.  This promotion of social enterprises will be to consumers, businesses or government looking to buy responsibly in New Zealand.

I would also like to extend a warm invite to you to sign up on changeXchange. But first, you’ll want to know what is in it for you:

•           A new channel for your business, where people looking for social enterprises to purchase from will gather;

•           Greater visibility for your social enterprise online that complements your existing online presence;

•           A place where not just consumers will look, but also businesses, local and central government agencies seeking procurement opportunities;

•           Being listed on a site that aims to be an authoritative site for social enterprises, where over 50% of profits for each business is returned to the community.

From now, we will be actively pushing changeXchange forward. This will include promotions on social media, raising awareness with key influencers and talking directly to businesses and government within New Zealand.

Our goal is to attract over 10,000 visitors a month to changeXchange and to grow the number of people and organisations purchasing from social enterprises within New Zealand significantly. However, to make changeXchange successful we will need your support and your membership (free for the first twelve months).

To sign up, please go to https://www.changexchange.co.nz/join/ and submit your contact details.

With best regards,

Lindsay Jeffs
