What’s the secret to Governance that really makes a difference for a non profit organisation? Come along and find out!

What: Ōtautahi Governance Bites 2025

Where: 3rd Wednesday of Month, at Aldersgate, 309 Durham Street North, Christchurch Central

When: Sessions will run from 5.30pm to 7.00pm, with doors opening and pizza, tea & coffee available from 5.00pm.

Hosted by Volunteer Canterbury, and free to participants, thanks to funding from Rātā Foundation. Registration essential for each session at outreach@volcan.org.nz

Topic 1: Non-Profit Boards Adding Value

Date: 19 Feb 2025 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Facilitator: Garth Nowland-Foreman, from LEAD Centre for Not for Profit Governance and Leadership

In this interactive session, you will learn how your Board can be less boring and achieve more than just going through the motions or check-up on what others are doing. Two important tools are offered to make this possible, which provide the foundation for all the following Governance Bites in this series. Believe it or not this doesn’t involve a call for greater commitment or doing more and more work as Board members.
